Nick is co-Founder and CEO of the International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC), a not-for-profit membership-based foundation dedicated to improving the science knowledge and adoption of integrate care in policy and practice across the World (www.integratedcarefoundation.org). This work includes the development of IFIC’s education and training arm, the Integrated Care Academy ©, and IFIC’s wider portfolio of work developing international collaborative centres supporting research and development activities in both Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Nick is also the co-Editor-in-Chief of its open-access and impact rated scientific periodical the International Journal of Integrated Care (www.ijic.org). Nick also holds a range of research, educational and consultation roles worldwide. These international commitments include several European R&D projects including the project SUSTAIN (www.sustain-eu.org) and work as an expert advisor and consultant to the likes of the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Health Organisation. In January 2016, Nick received the Avedis Donabedian International Award for his contribution to Healthcare Excellence. In 2017, Nick will be appointed as Conjoint Professor to the University of Newcastle, New South Wales, where he will support research and educational programmes within the University’s new Institute for Integrated Care.
